Broken links aren't really a security hazard, but while we're checking everything for a website, why not check for broken links too?.

If you're running a website business and you have links to other websites for further information on a topic and the other website changes their site, you might have a broken link on your site. It's not a big deal, but wouldn't you want to know?

Sometimes, even with as smart as cybercriminals are, they make mistakes too. We've had cases where we've found malscripts on a website because they were broken links.

Once again, we do this as a minor service. We're checking websites for everything we possibly can so why not check for broken links and report them to the point of contact for our clients?
