We "crawl" our client's website
This means we find every detail of a website: what cascading style sheets are loaded with each page, what external javascript files are used in each page, what links are displayed on each - links to other webpags on your site and links to other websites like ads, everything, every file used - we find.
Many services use Google search to build a list of webpages on a website.
In order to see what Google finds on your site, and hence the only files some services scan or monitor on your site, simply use this format in Google to see what they see: insite:yourwebsite.com
Open a Google search and type in the above obviously replacing yourwebsite.com with the name of your website and you'll see that Google does find any cascading style sheets, or .js (external javascript) files. Maybe you don't have any. But try a few other sites and you'll see that they never show up in seach results.
Would you want to rely on a service that only monitors or scans some of the files on your website?
We Watch Your Website crawls your site. We begin with your home page and scan it for all file references, then we scan all the file references for other file references. You can imagine it's a lengthy process but as many wise men have stated, "haste makes waste". We felt that it would be better to take a little more time, but to be completely thorough in monitoring and scanning our client's websites.
