We check response times
While we were investigating what services were needed by website owners, webmasters and web designers, we came across many sites that monitor website uptime and response times. We thought that if there's so many of them, there must be a need.

Website monitoring for uptime and response isn't our primary business, however we do monitor and notify if the website is unresponsive. During our normal website checks, we also record the response times, not from as many monitors as some sites do, currently just from our main data center location.

In the reports our clients see, it shows the average response times from our servers for each page. If a client's website ever becomes unresponsive, we run through some tests to try and diagnose the issues.

We'll ping the website. This will tell us if the domain resolves to an IP address and whether or not the server is functioning but our client's website isn't, or there's a network connection issue somewhere. At least we can provide some diagnostics to our client before they contact their hosting provider.

Some of the sites that offer uptime and monitoring service charge as much as we do, but they don't offer any security services.
